Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio was in attendance at the Stadio Olimpico for Roma’s Europa League win over Red Bull Salzburg, where he scouted two Salzburg players.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri Sporting Director was watching Salzburg striker Noah Okafor and midfielder Maurits Kjaegard.
Roma knocked Salzburg out at the Europa League round of 32 stage, with the Giallorossi set to meet Spanish side Real Sociedad in the next round.
The Austrian champions have a number of players who have been under observation by Inter as possible targets, including striker Okafor and midfielder Kjaergard.
According to SportItalia, both were specifically being watched by Ausilio at the Olimpico in yesterday evening’s match.
The Nerazzurri are looking to potentially capitalize on some of the quality youth players that the Red Bull academy has had a reputation for unearthing, and Ausilio had a look at how they fared against top-quality Serie A opposition.
