Inter are sweating on the fitness of centre-back Milan Skriniar and wingback Matteo Darmian after the pair struggled at the end of Wednesday’s win over Porto.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 1-0 Champions League victory over Porto, settled at the death by a late Romelu Lukaku goal, came at a price.

Skriniar has shown signs of fatigue after the game, whilst Darmian was forced to cover two roles in the match against the Portuguese club and complained of discomfort in his ankle at full time.

Both players are due to be monitored this afternoon before their involvement in tomorrow’s Serie A match against Bologna is considered, and Darmian could be rested in favour of Denzel Dumfries.

Meanwhile, Skriniar could also drop to the bench to allow either Danilo D’Ambrosio or Stefan De Vrij, with the latter seeing Francesco Acerbi moving into the central role of the three-man defence.

It is also expected that Marcelo Brozovic will replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, whilst Joaquin Correa is the only confirmed absence.
