Inter President Steven Zhang is considering moving ahead with plans to build a new stadium for the club, with an as yet unrevealed location identified for a new site.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are ready to push ahead with their intentions of moving away from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, particularly after AC Milan made clear their desire to have a solo stadium project.

Inter have found privately owned land within the municipality of Milan and would be ready to begin a new stadium project there, but they are unwilling to reveal the location just yet.

Instead, the Nerazzurri will hold on a while longer to ensure that the initial plans to build a new ground at the current San Siro site do not have any life in them, and only then will they action their Plan B.

Zhang has decided to lean towards this action after contacting Gordon Singer, son of former Milan owner Paul, via Elliott Fund, and learning that the current Rossoneri director was still keen to remain at San Siro.

This is in contrast to the desires of Milan President Gerry Cardinale, who appears keen to build a solo project away from the existing site, prompting suggestions of a split in approach at the Rossoneri.
