Inter are intensifying their search for a new main shirt sponsor to take the place of DigitalBits now that the partnership with the cryptocurrency company has completely evaporated.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that with the Nerazzurri have received none of the €85 million from their deal with DigitalBits, they are making a new sponsor for next season a priority.
If Inter had hoped that the four-year deal with DigitalBits would be a significant financial boost, the difficulties faced by the cryptocurrency sector have meant that that this is not at all the case.
Yesterday, it was reported that Inter have received none of the three €8 million instalment payments owed for the current season from DigitalBits, and it is virtually a foregone conclusion that the entirety of the rest of the €85 million deal is up in smoke.
Accordingly, the Gazzetta reports, one of Inter’s major priorities behind the scenes is finding a suitable replacement for the cryptocurrency company.
