Inter defender Milan Skriniar is set to miss out on the Nerazzurri’s Serie A away match against Spezia on Friday through injury.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old continues to be affected by the back injury that has caused him to miss the team’s two previous matches, and will also miss Friday’s match.

Skriniar has been dealing with a persistent back problem in training, which was picked up not long before the Nerazzurri’s match away to Bologna.

Whilst the Slovakian former Sampdoria defender had been aiming to be fit and available for the match away to Spezia later this week, this will not be the case according to Mediaset.

Skriniar is now targeting a return in the Nerazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg match away to Porto next week.

Meanwhile, Mediaset report that Inter wingback Federico Dimarco and forward Joaquin Correa should be fit and available for Friday’s match against Spezia.
