It is not at all certain that Inter defender Milan Skriniar will be fit in time to be part of the squad for next week’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg match against Porto.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old is still not back in training, and that he could miss out on the match away in Portugal on Tuesday given that his recovery timeline is not clear.

Skriniar has been dealing with a persistent back injury over the past couple of weeks.

The problem has already caused him to miss out on two Serie A matches, against Bologna and Lecce, and will also see him miss tomorrow’s match against Spezia.

Unlike teammate Joaquin Correa, who is also likely to be out of tomorrow’s match against Spezia, however, the Slovakian is not back in training yet.

Whereas the Argentine is anticipated to be in the Nerazzurri’s squad for next Tuesday’s match against Porto, it is not yet certain whether or not Skriniar will be ready.
