Juvetnus defender Alex Sandro is set to miss out on his team’s Serie A match away to Inter later this month.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Brazilian is expected to return to action after the international break, whilst the likes of Angel Di Maria and Federico Chiesa will have their fitness for the Nerazzurri clash assessed day by day.
Sandro had to come off as a substitute during the first half of the Bianconeri’s 1-0 win over Freiburg in the Europa League round of sixteen yesterday evening, with the former Porto man feeling some discomfort in high thigh.
According to FCInterNews, the injury has been assessed to be a strain in the hamstring of his left thigh.
Sandro is expected back not long after the March international break, but will not be available for any of the Bianconeri’s matches before the break, with their final one being the trip to the San Siro to face Inter.
Meanwhile, Di Maria and Chiesa are dealing with a thigh and knee injury respectively, and their fitness for the match against Inter will be assessed day by day.
