West Ham United have made their asking price clear for striker Gianluca Scamacca amid interest from Inter as well as other top clubs in Serie A, and they could be prepared to dig in their heels.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Hammers would not likely accept a bid of anything else than €40-45 million for the 24-year-old.

Given that Scamacca has not really lived up to expectations or to his price tag since making the move from Sassuolo to West Ham during last summer transfer window, there have been one or two suggestions that he could already leave the London Stadium.

Inter had already been interested in Scamacca prior to his joining West Ham, whilst the likes of Juventus and AC Milan have also been linked as possible destinations.

However, the fact remains that West Ham paid a €36 million fee to sign the 24-year-old from Sassuolo last summer, which could rise to €42 million including add-ons.

Moreover, a 10% share of any fee from the striker being sold would be owed to the Neroverdi per a clause in the deal with West Ham.

Accordingly, Calciomercato report, the Premier League could would set a fee of €40-45 million to consider selling Scamacca, and they would not be inclined to offer any discounts.
