Inter striker Romelu Lukaku’s future at Inter is still as uncertain as ever, and he will have to prove himself over the rest of the season starting with tomorrow against Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that as of now the Nerazzurri’s inclination would not be to extend the 29-year-old’s loan move, but that he will still get the opportunity to prove himself.

Lukaku is likely to start tomorrow’s match against Juventus, leading the line alongside Lautaro Martinez.

The fact that this is not virtually a foregone conclusion at this stage of the season in a Derby d’Italia match is more or less an indication of how the Belgian’s season has gone so far.

However, the fact that Lukaku is starting at all is still a sign of the faith that Inter’s coaches and directors continue to have that he can finally make the impact that’s been expected of him.

If the Belgian does not do so in the remaining matches of the run-in, then he will not likely stay a Nerazzurri player past the end of the campaign, but he does still have every chance of doing so.
