Inter have written to the city of Milan asking for clarity around the status of plans to build a new stadium in place of the San Siro.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are well aware of the plans being close to dead but want a clear update from the city regarding the situation.

Inter’s city rivals AC Milan look to have finally gotten fed up with the delays around the plans to build a new stadium in place of the San Siro together with the Nerazzurri.

Both Milan Mayor Beppe Sala and Lombardia region President Attillo Fontana have made clear in statements that this is the direction that the Rossoneri are going in, although Sala has made clear that nothing is yet formalized without clear plans delivered by the club.

On Inter’s part, they feel that they have been left in the dark somewhat, and that they do not have a clear picture of the situation.

Meanwhile, Sala and Fontana have stated that they do not fully understand what the Nerazzurri’s intentions are regarding new stadium plans.

Accordingly, La Repubblica report, Inter have written to the city formally asking for the air to be cleared so that they can start to plan for the future one way or the other.
