Club Brugge winger Tajon Buchanan is Inter’s main target to replace Denzel Dumfries on the right flank should the Dutchman be sold.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 24-year-old Canadian international who shone at the World Cup in Qatar is seen as having the ideal profile at wingback and would cost €15 million.
Buchanan has been on Inter’s radar for some time, and the Canadian’s displays for his national team in Qatar provided real confirmation of their interest.
According to the Corriere, the Nerazzurri are big fans of Buchanan’s dribbling ability, as a player with the ability to beat a defender has been a profile lacked in their squad throughout this season in the absence of Ivan Perisic.
As such, Inter would be prepared to bring in Buchanan with the intention of converting the Canadian to the wingback position.
With Dumfries’s future at Inter very much in doubt, Buchanan is the player who the Nerazzurri are targeting to replace him.
