Legendary former Inter striker Christian Vieri feels that the number of points that the Nerazzurri have dropped in the league this season is nothing less than “unacceptable.”

Speaking on his Twitch channel, via FCInterNews, the former striker weighed in on the fact that Inter have so far lost ten matches out of 28 played in Serie A, and was unequivocal in his verdict.

This season, even when Inter have managed to build up a bit of momentum, there has always seemed to be another damaging defeat just around the corner.

Saturday evening’s defeat at the hands of Fiorentina was certainly confirmation of the sense that this Nerazzurri team have been far too inconsistent in the league.

Whilst drawing matches hasn’t really been a problem for the Nerazzurri, with only matches away to Monza and Sampdoria having resulted in stalemates, the team have made far too much of a habit of losing matches.

This is certainly the opinion of former striker Vieri, who argued that “Ten losses so far is too much.”

“Fiorentina looked better than them, and even though Fiorentina play great football, the number of points they’ve already dropped is unacceptable,” he added.

Of the performance of striker Romelu Lukaku against Fiorentina on Saturday, Vieri said that “He didn’t look at his best to me, he still looks very sluggish.”

However, Vieri also noted that “In terms of results Inter haven’t been doing well, but then if you actually watch them, they’re in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.”

“They’ve already lost ten matches after 28 matches, there are still ten more to play.”

“They didn’t play well on Saturday, they’re too slow, but at the same time they’ had chances to score,” the former striker said.

“Something is wrong with the team, they look confused on the pitch.”
