Inter have seven players at risk of missing the Coppa Italia through suspension if they make it that far, if they are to be booked in Wednesday evening’s semifinal second leg match against Juventus.

This is highlighted by Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who also note that the Bianconeri have three players one booking away from suspension, whilst each of the two clubs will have one player out for tomorrow’s match at the San Siro through suspension.

A number of players for both Inter and Juventus picked up yellow cards in the closing stages of the semifinal first leg that the teams played earlier this month.

The match devolved into chaos following the sending-off of Inter striker Romelu Lukaku amid racist abuse from some Bianconeri fans, and something like a mass brawl saw match official Davide Massa go to his pocket for a number of the players.

Whilst Lukaku had his suspension for the second leg removed after the intervention of FIGC President Gabriele Gravina who issued an executive pardon, the Belgian did still receive an initial booking for a challenge on Juventus defender Federico Gatti which leaves him one yellow away from suspension.

Meanwhile, six other Inter players are also one booking away from suspension.

Those are midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, forward Joaquin Correa, wingbacks Federico Dimarco and Gosens, striker Lautaro Martinez, and goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Meanwhile, three Juventus players would also miss the final of the competition should the Bianconeri make it that far in the event of a yellow card, namely defender Danilo, midfielder Fabio Miretti, and goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

In addition, both of the teams will have one player suspended for Wednesday’s match.

Both of Inter captain Samir Handanovic and Juventus wingback Juan Cuadrado received straight red cards for their role in an altercation at the end of the first leg.
