Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu received major plaudits for his brilliant display in his team’s 6-0 victory over Hellas Verona.

The Nerazzurri collected their third league win on the trot to consolidate their 4th position in the Serie A table, while their hapless hosts could offer little resistance.

For his part, Calhanoglu delivered a fabulous performance in the middle of the park, highlighted by an absolute screamer from long range. This was the Turk’s third goal in Serie A and fourth overall in the campaign.

Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews praised Hakan’s outing, handing him a favorable rating of 7/10.

Lautaro Martinez received the same grade on the Pagelle of the Roman newspaper, despite scoring a brace and producing an assist.

For his part, Edin Dzeko was chosen as man of the match with a rating of 7.5/10. The Bosnian striker scored twice, putting an end to a goal-drought that haunted him for more than three months.

As for Simone Inzaghi, the Inter manager received a rating of 7/10 for his role on the dugout. Despite rotating his starting formation, the coach has picked up three important wins in the last three Serie A rounds.

It was a prosperous midweek for the Nerazzurri who were on par on points with Roma and Milan prior to Match Day 33, but are now two points ahead of their Top Four rivals who settled for draws in their matches against Monza and Cremonese respectively.
