Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi praised Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku for their contributions since returning from injury.

Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi underlines the importance of Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku to Inter’s recent performances and that they are helping to lift the rest of the squad.

Inzaghi spoke at the official post-match press conference following Inter’s 2-0 win in the Serie A against the Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, as reported by FCInterNews.

“Brozovic and Lukaku are helping a lot, especially as they were out until January. We know how important they are and we are pleased with their contribution.

“I have professionals that only work for the well-being of the club, even if we didn’t know we would make it to the Coppa Italia final and the Champions League semi finals.

“We worked hard to be in this moment with the best possible physical condition.

“We won a game against a challenging team and we knew that it would be difficult and we stayed concentrated.

“I hugged each player after the game because I knew that they are doing their upmost since the start of April.

“We needed the win today and we know that we will need more in the league. I was calm, even when we weren’t getting the results that we needed.

“It is probably a testament to today’s football. The team was playing well but didn’t create chances like they were in previous games.

“Even though we conceded 12 corners, we still won 2-0,” concluded Inzaghi.
