Ahead of the first-leg battle against AC Milan in the Champions League semifinal, Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi calls for a courageous display.

The Italian tactician discussed Wednesday’s battle in his customary pre-match press conference held on Tuesday.

The Nerazzurri are enjoying a positive run, currently riding a five-match winning streak in all competitions.

The manager wants to build on his team’s brilliant form to secure a great result against their crosstown rivals in the much-anticipated EuroDerby.

“The qualification for the semi-finals of the Champions League, reaching the Coppa Italia final and the latest results have allowed us to prepare for the match in the best possible way,” said Inzaghi in his press conference as reported by FcInterNews.

“Tomorrow is the derby, we all know the importance it has and we want to face it in the best possible way”.

The 47-year-old admits that this will be the most important match of his coaching career, but he’ll face it with a serene approach.

“Definitely. We’ve been through many finals. This is the derby and we know what it represents, even for me.

“I’m quite serene because I’ve seen how much the players are concentrated. It will be decided in 180 minutes.”

Inzaghi also called for his players to overcome fear and display great desire and determination to reach the grand finale.

“There mustn’t be fear. There must be a great desire. We have to stay together, with our fans, as we have done during this journey.

“We have to experience these evenings in the best possible way. We hope we can reach the final which was a mere dream in August, but now it’s only 180 minutes away.”
