Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso is optimistic ahead of his team’s Coppa Italia final against Inter Milan, and Europa Conference League final against West Ham United.
Speaking to Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInterNews, Commisso noted that La Viola have already gotten one win over Inter so far this evening.
Fiorentina and Inter both go into the final rush of the season with two massive opportunities to win silverware.
The first will come tomorrow evening at the Stadio Olimpico. Both teams are just one match away from lifting the Coppa Italia trophy.
Meanwhile, just as Inter have Manchester City on the way, Fiorentina have their own date with a Premier League team.
Vincenzo Italiano will face West Ham United in the Europa Conference league final next month.
Neither of the two finals that La Viola face will be easy.
However, the club’s President Commisso believes that there is something there for them. He feels that there’s every reason to be optimistic over the next couple of weeks.
Commisso: Fiorentina Can Beat Inter & West Ham
“Inter and West Ham are two great teams,” the Viola President stated. “But we can do it.”
“We’ve already beaten the Nerazzurri in the league,” he noted, referring to Fiorentina’s 1-0 win at the San Siro last month. “And we’ve never been dominated against the big names.”
Tomorrow’s final will kick off at 21.00 CET at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
For Inter, it is an opportunity to defend their crown from last season. Last time around, the Nerazzurri needed extra time to overcome Juventus in a 4-2 thriller in the final.
