Striker Edin Dzeko is set to start for Inter Milan in tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash with Atalanta, with Joaquin Correa injured.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the 37-year-old Bosnian international is ahead of Lautaro Martinez to lead the line alongside Romelu Lukaku against La Dea.

Correa will be forced to miss out on tomorrow’s match due to an injury.

The Nerazzurri have confirmed that the Argentine suffered a calf strain during the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina.

This puts Inter coach Simone Inzaghi in a somewhat awkward position. The coach had been expected to start Correa in attack tomorrow, alongside Lukaku.

Inzaghi has been rotated the attack regularly from match to match in recent weeks.

However, this will prove impossible now that Correa has picked up another injury.

Accordingly, Inzaghi will have a decision to make regarding which striker starts alongside Lukaku tomorrow.

Dzeko To Start For Inter Vs Atalanta With Correa Pulling Out

There is no doubt that Lukaku will start tomorrow’s match. The Belgian has been in outstanding form in Serie A in recent weeks.

Both Dzeko and Martinez had started the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina on Wednesday. One of the two will have to play twice in the space of 72 hours, however, unless Inzaghi wants to rethink the formation of the team.

Elsewhere, it will be a rotated Inter team compared to the one that faced Fiorentina. The broadcaster anticipates that all of Andre Onana, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, and Robin Gosens will come into the side.

However, Sky predicts that the midfield trio will remain unchanged. Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, and Hakan Calhanoglu could once again start.

Sky’s complete predicted eleven for the match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Acerbi; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Gosens; Lukaku, Dzeko.
