Inter Milan have offered a three-year contract to Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez to join on a free transfer.

This according to Spanish news outlet Marca, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are the first club to come forward with a serious offer for the 33-year-old who is yet to agree to an extension to his contract with Real which runs out at the end of next month.

At the moment, Nacho’s situation at Real Madrid is uncertain.

The 33-year-old’s deal with the La Liga giants runs out at the end of next month. Los Blancos would potentially be ready to offer Nacho a new contract.

According to Marca, Real have offered Nacho a one-year extension with the option of a further season.

However, the Spaniard wants a longer deal. Furthermore, according to Marca, Nacho is not satisfied with the role of purely a backup option in Los Blancos’ squad.

Accordingly, the Spaniard could leave the Bernabeu on a free transfer if he is to decline Real’s offer of a new deal.

The Spanish outlet claim that the Nerazzurri have already offered the Spaniard a three-year contract in order to join on a free transfer this ahead of next season.

Nacho has been linked with Inter in the past.

The outlet have already reported that Inter have been in contact with the 33-year-old’s representatives.

Now, the Nerazzurri are awaiting Nacho’s response. The Spaniard is still considering Real Madrid’s offer of a new deal.
