Inter Milan will meet with the agent of Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez and Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard after the Champions League final against Manchester City next month.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that both of the pair are on the Nerazzurri’s radar as defensive reinforcements for next seasons, but that no serious talks will take place until after the Champions League final in Istanbul.

Reinforcing the backline will be one of Inter’s main priorities for the upcoming transfer window.

Milan Skriniar is set to leave to join Paris Saint-Germain during the summer. Meanwhile, all of Danolo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, and Francesco Acerbi have uncertain futures.

Accordingly, Inter are looking into a number of names as potential defensive signings.

Inter Line Up Nacho & Pavard To Rebuild Defense

One of these would be that of Real Madrid veteran Nacho.

The 33-year-old Spanish international’s current contract with Real expires at the end of next month. As of yet, he has not agreed an extension with the La Liga giants.

Accordingly Nacho could be available on a free transfer for next season.

Inter are very much interested in signing the Spaniard. The Nerazzurri have reportedly already offered Nacho a three-year deal.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich star Pavard is another player who Inter consider a potential defensive signing for this summer.

The Frenchman looks set to leave the Allianz Arena during the summer. Pavard’s contract with the German champions runs out at the end of next June. However, he has not intention of signing a new deal.

Accordingly, Bayern will look to cash in on Pavard for a fee while they have the chance rather than losing him for free next summer.

In both of these cases, Sky report that Inter will make a serious attempt to sign the player. However, only after the Champions League final.

For now, all the focus at the Nerazzurri is on the pitch with Man City looming.
