This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the club will discuss the transfer window, the upcoming preseason tour of Japan, and a contract extension with their coach.

Everyone at Inter is still processing the disappointment of losing the Champions League final to Manchester City.

However, behind the scenes, there is little time to waste. The preparations for next season are already well underway.

Inter’s directors are planning to meet with coach Inzaghi this week to really get the plans in motion. The 47-year-old has taken a couple days off to reflect on Saturday’s loss to City in Istanbul.

However, he and the club will already be jump-starting plans for next season in the coming days.

Inter & Inzaghi Make Next Season’s Goal Clear – Win Serie A Title

Inter and Inzaghi are ready to put this season’s bittersweet end to the Champions League campaign behind them.

Next time around, they are hoping to once again make a big impact in Europe. However, the Gazzetta report, their real focus is Serie A.

In Inzaghi’s first season as Inter coach, the team missed out on the Scudetto to AC Milan on the final day of the season. This time around, they were left in Napoli’s wake like everyone else in the league.

The club want Inzaghi to finally deliver a league title next season. Exploits in Europe similar to this season would be welcome, but aren’t the priority.

That will be the theme of the meeting between Inter and Inzaghi this week.

First of all, the club and coach will discuss the transfer market. The summer transfer window is now open, and the Nerazzurri are starting to think about their targets.

They will work out the whole strategy for revamping the squad with Inzaghi this week.

Meanwhile, Inter will also try and get contract extension talks with the coach done. Currently, the coach’s deal runs out at the end of June 2024.

Inter want to hand Inzaghi a one-year extension until the end of June 2025, on improved terms.

Lastly, the Gazzetta report, Inter and Inzaghi will discuss their preseason plans. Next month, the team will undertake a preseason tour of Japan.
