Inter Milan are keen to sign both Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi and also Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported in a tweet that the Nerazzurri are thinking about an ambitious double swoop to strengthen in midfield ahead of the upcoming season.

It seems clear now that Sassuolo star Frattesi is a major target for Inter this summer.

Pedulla reports that the Nerazzurri are going “all-in” for the 23-year-old who is also a target for Juventus and Roma. Meetings are already taking place to that effect.

However, Frattesi is not the only big name midfielder Inter are chasing from within Serie A.

Inter Milan Want Both Frattesi & Milinkovic-Savic

The name of Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic has also been hotly linked with Inter in recent days.

The Biancocelesti star’s contract runs out at the end of June of next year. He has no intention of signing an extension.

Accordingly, Lazio want to cash in on Milinkovic-Savic for a fee this summer while they still can, rather than lose him on a free transfer in twelve months’ time.

Reportedly Inter would first have to make a big sale before they can afford Milinkovic-Savic. Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri could reportedly offer wingback Robin Gosens as a makeweight to lower the Biancocelesti’s €40 million cash asking price.

In any event, Milinkovic-Savic is a serious target for Inter.

Pedulla reports that, whilst the Nerazzurri are currently working hard to get Frattesi, coach Simone Inzaghi in particular would likely to sign the 28-year-old Serbian international.

Inzaghi and Milinkovic-Savic had spent more than five seasons together at the Stadio Olimpico whilst the 47-year-old was Lazio coach.

The current Inter boss had overseen the Serb’s development into one of Serie A’s best midfielders.

Now, Inzaghi wants a reunion with Milinkovic-Savic at his current club.
