Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco is still feeling the emotions of a disappointing Champions League final loss.

The Nerazzurri gave everything they had against Manchester City final. At times, they looked like they were more than capable of defying their doubters and taking the trophy.

However, in the end, City won the match by a narrow 1-0 scoreline. This has left Inter reflecting on what could have been.

Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco took to Instagram with a message to the club’s fans.

He writes:

“It’s tough. We left our souls on the pitch but it wasn’t enough.”

“It hurts, but we have to be proud of all the work we’ve done, and of having gotten one step away from an historic feat.”

“I also want to thank our fans. You won: In Istanbul, Milan, San Siro, everywhere.”

“Today more than ever – there are days when being an Interista is easy, others when it’s a duty, and days when it’s an honour.”

“Federico.”
