Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries was left disappointed as the Netherlands were defeated by Croatia in the semi-final of the Nations League.

Despite acting the as the hosts, the Oranje failed to overcome Luka Modric and company who produced another memorable display.

For his part, Dumfries started the match before leaving his spot for Noa Lang who scored the last-gasp equalizer for the Dutch.

While normal time ended in a 2-2 draw, the Croatians emerged victorious in a 4-2 result after extra-time.

The Nerazzurri right-back expressed his disappointing on Instagram, admitting that his national team still has a large room for improvement.

“Pity about the result. We have shown improvement but we are not yet where we need to be,” admitted the Inter Milan star.
