Man United Haven’t Given Up On Signing Inter Milan Champions League Hero

Man United still haven’t given up in trying to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer transfer window.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on air moments ago via FCInterNews that the Red Devils want the 27-year-old, and that the Nerazzurri have identified Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario as a replacements.

Man United are looking for a goalkeeper to potentially replace David De Gea.

Nerazzurri star Onana is one of the names who the Red Devils are interested in. The Cameroonian is also a target for Chelsea.

The Cameroonian only joined Inter from Ajax on a free transfer over the summer. However, his performances in his first campaign fro the Nerazzurri have really caught the eye.

Onana has made a total of forty appearances for Inter across his first season at the club. This has seen him displace club captain Samir Handanovic as the first-choice option in goal.

Thee 27-year-old’s performances in the Champions League have particularly won him admirers.

According to Di Marzio, United have not given up in the chase for Onana.

The Red Devils have not yet made an official offer to Inter for the goalkeeper. However, they are mulling over what their plans are, and Di Marzio reports that they could decide to pursue Onana.

Should Inter decide to accept an offer from United for Onana, they already have a replacement in mind.

Di Marzio reports that the Nerazzurri would go after 26-year-old Empoli keeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Empoli coach Paolo Zanetti has all but expected that he expects Vicario to leave this summer.

Juventus and Roma are also reportedly fans of Vicario, however.

According to Di Marzio, Inter are continuing to track the 26-year-old as they anticipate a possible offer for Onana from United.
