Bournemouth are ready to join Union Berlin in the race to sign Inter Milan wingback Robin Gosens this summer.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on air via FCInterNews that the Cherries are ready to get serious in their efforts to sign the former Atalanta man for next season.
Gosens looks to be a player who Inter are ready to sell this summer.
The Nerazzurri would reportedly listen to offers of around €15-20 million for the 28-year-old German international.
As far as clubs interested, Champions League new boys Union Berlin are reportedly ready to make an offer.
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg also want to bring Gosens to the Bundesliga. Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are hoping to tempt the Nerazzurri wingback to the Premier League.
Like Forest, Bournemouth have also been linked with the 28-year-old.
Di Marzio Confirms Bournemouth Interested In Rivalling Union Berlin For Gosens
According to Gosens, the Cherries’ interest in signing Gosens is serious.
The wingback is a major target for Bournemouth as they aim to strengthen for their second season back in the Premier League.
The Cherries have already appointed a new coach for next season in the form of ex-Rayo Vallecano boss Andoni Iraola. And Gosens is one of the players who they are keen to put at the disposal of the Spanish coach.
They’ll have to get through Union. However, Di Marzio reports, they want to try.
If Inter are to sell Gosens, they have a plan to immediately replace the German like-for-like.
Monza breakout start Carlos Augusto is reportedly the man the Nerazzurri want to sign to replace Gosens.
A lot will depend, however, on the size of Union’s offer. The German club’s CEO has indicated that they won’t break from their usual strategy to make signings for the Champions League.
