Inter Milan directors will meet their Sassuolo counterparts on Friday to discuss the potential transfer of Davide Frattesi.

The Beanemata have emerged as the favorites to land the 23-year-old in recent weeks. However, the lack of transfer funds postponed the operation.

But With Marcelo Brozovic on the verge of leaving Appiano Gentile to join Al-Nassr, the Nerazzurri should have the financial means to land the Italy international.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Inter Milan and Sassuolo will try to wrap up a deal when they meet in Rimini on Friday.

The journalist revealed the news in his appearance on Sportitalia (via FcInter1908). The summit should include Inter CEO Beppe Marotta, his Sassuolo counterpart Giovanni Carnevali and the player’s agent Giuseppe Riso.

Inter Milan And Sassuolo Have Scheduled An Important Meeting On Friday To Finalize An Agreement For Frattesi

As Pedullà explains, Roma have made some progress in their attempts to bring Frattesi back to the Eternal City in the last five days.

Nevertheless, the player gave his preference to Inter. So it’s now up to the Nerazzurri to finalize the transfer.

The journalist adds that the Emilians have set their price at 32 million euros. But they would be willing to lower it to 30 million if the package includes the services of young Inter striker Samuele Mulattieri.

For their part, Marotta and company don’t want to spend beyond 26 or 27 million. So we’ll see if the two parties will be able to bridge the gap.

As for Roma, the lack of Champions League football could hinder their chances. However, the Giallorossi will still a 30% cut in Frattesi’s future sale which could boost their chances.

Yet, Inter remain the favorites in the race, but it will be important to close the deal and ward off all competition as quickly as possible.
