Inter Milan are ready to sell Man United target Andre Onana and use part of the fee to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are reportedly valuing Onana at at least €60 million.

The Nerazzurri’s rationale for this is that if they’re to sell the Cameroonian they want it to be for enough that they can fund other transfer business.

Manchester United are ready to get close to Inter’s valuation. The Red Devils are reportedly putting around €50 million plus add-ons on the table.

After United had initially hoped to sign Onana for a cut-price €40 million fee, Inter made their stance clear. They will not even sit at the table for offers of that size.

However, the Premier League giants have not been warned off by Inter’s high asking price for Onana.

Far from it, now that they know exactly what it will take to sign the 27-year-old, they appear to be accelerating to make a deal happen.

Inter Milan Ready To Sell Onana & Sign Lukaku Permanently

Inter’s priority if they’re to sell Onana will be to use the transfer fee to do other business in the market.

One obvious objective will be to secure a replacement for the former Ajax goalkeeper. However, this will only be part of Inter’s plan for the money.

Settling the future of Chelsea striker Lukaku is also a key objective.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has made clear to his club that he considers bringing the Belgian back to be an absolute priority.

Inter are ready to offer Chelsea a loan deal containing a purchase obligation for Lukaku. They hope this will soften the resistance of the Blues, who so far have been against the idea of another loan.

The Corriere report that Inter’s hope is to convince Chelsea with a loan containing a purchase obligation of €30 million. This could be conditional on a performance-related trigger like finishing top four in Serie A or reaching next season’s Champions League round of sixteen.
