Inter Milan will meet with Udinese to hold talks for midfielder Lazar Samardzic on Wednesday.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who report that the Friulani have made the asking price €30 million for the 21-year-old Serbian international.

Inter are considering their options in terms of midfield signings for next season.

Davide Frattesi remains a priority target, but the Nerazzurri may balk at Sassuolo’s asking price for the 23-year-old Italian international.

One thing that’s certain is that Inter are in for at least one big midfield signing this summer. They have already completed the sale of Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr.

One player the Nerazzurri are considering, SportItalia report, is former RB Leipzig midfielder Lazar Samardzic.

Inter & Udinese To Hold Lazar Samardzic Talks Later This Week

Samardzic enjoyed something of a breakout campaign for Udinese in Serie A over the season just gone.

Having made 22 appearances during the 2021-22 season, Samardzic was virtually everpresent last time around. The 21-year-old made a total of 35 appearances for the Friulani in the league.

Samardzic scored five goals and assisted four in the process.

Inter consider Samardzic a serious target to potentially reinforce their midfield for next season.

And, SportItalia confirm, the Nerazzurri are getting ready to make their move.

The broadcaster name a date for when Inter will make their first real contact with Udinese later this week. This should come in a meeting on Wednesday.

The Friulani want at least €30 million for Samardzic. It will remain to be seen whether or not the Nerazzurri are ready to make a bid in this range, or whether Udinese will accept an offer much lower.

Apart from his success at club level, Samardzic has also won his first senior caps in 2023. Whilst he had been born in Germany and represented Die Mannschaft at youth team levels, he has chosen Serbia.
