The sale of André Onana to Man United should allow Inter Milan to complete the transfers of Romelu Lukaku and Anatoliy Trubin.

As we reported earlier today, the Red Devils have raised their offer for the Cameroonian goalkeeper. However, they remain short of the Italian club’s asking price.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via FcInterNews) expects the Premier League giants to launch an improved bid to convince the Nerazzurri.

The Serie A side values Onana at 60 million euros following a sensational first campaign at the Giuseppe Meazza. So we shall see if the two clubs will be able to reach a compromise in the next few days.

Inter are also hoping to complete the sale of Onana, as it would allow them to recruit Lukaku and Trubin for next season.

As the source explains, selling the 27-year-old goalkeeper would provide the necessary funds to secure the signings of the Chelsea striker and the young Shakhtar Donetsk custodian.

Inter Milan Would Reinvest Some Of The Sum Received From The Sale Of Onana To Sign Lukaku And Trubin

The latter would be Onana’s direct replacement between the sticks. The 21-year-old only has one year left on his contract. Therefore, the Nerazzurri are hoping to secure his services for just 10 million euros.

The source adds that Bayern Munich veteran Yann Sommer could also join the ranks as a reliable backup for the young Ukrainian.

As for Lukaku, Inter are currently negotiating a transfer with Chelsea. But the report claims that the Italians aren’t willing to spend over 25 million euros.
