Inter Milan are planning to make four big signings following the sale of Andre Onana to Man United.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who name Romelu Lukaku, Merih Demiral, Anatoliy Trubin, and Yann Sommer as the quartet of players who should arrive in the wake of Onana’s departure.
It now looks to be a matter of when rather than if – Inter will sell Onana to Manchester United.
The Nerazzurri are prepared to accept an offer from the Red Devils if it exceeds €50 million. And an offer of that size certainly seems to be forthcoming.
With the departure of David De Gea, United are all set to make the decisive move to make Onana their Number One for next season.
And with Onana’s sale, Inter can move forward with transfer plans of their own.
The Nerazzurri won’t wait around to invest the fee they receive for the 27-year-old.
Lukaku, Demiral, Trubin, Sommer – Inter Milan’s Targets After Andre Onana Sale To Man United
The priority at Inter, irrespective of Onana’s situation, is to finally agree a deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku.
The fee coming in for Onana should make it possible for the Nerazzurri to finally get a deal over the line. They are planning to make the Blues an offer to sign the Belgian on a permanent deal.
Then, there’s Atalanta defender Demiral.
Inter have lined up the Turkish former Juventus and Sassuolo defender as their main target to replace Milan Skriniar.
The 25-year-old’s signing will be within reach with the cash on hand from Onana’s sale.
Lastly will be the question of replacing Onana, naturally. Moreover, Inter captain Samir Handanovic looks set to depart, so more than one goalkeeper will have to arrive.
Once Onana leaves for United, Inter plan to move for two keepers quickly.
The first will be Shakhtar Donetsk keeper Anatoliy Trubin. The Nerazzurri are hoping to pay €10 million for the 21-year-old Ukrainian international, although his club are holding out for more.
And at €6 million, Tuttosport reports, Inter should be able to get a deal done with Bayern Munich for veteran Swiss international Yann Sommer.
