Young Inter Milan and Argentina attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is close to completing a loan move to Monza.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on his show via L’Interista that the 18-year-old will have his medicals with the Lombard club tomorrow.

Carboni is still very much a young talent rather than a fully-fledged senior player.

However, this has not meant that Inter have not been confident in showing their faith in the 18-year-old.

Reports suggest that the Nerazzurri want to hand Carboni a new deal soon.

Moreover, the teenager has already been given his chance at the senior level. Apart for starring for Inter’s Primavera team, last season he was also given his first opportunities to play with the senior team.

Carboni made just six appearances all season. Five of these came in Serie A.

However, this was a clear indication that Inter see Carboni as a serious prospect for their future.

Inter have decided that the next step for Carboni’s development will be a loan move.

According to Di Marzio, the decision has been made that Monza will be his next move. Everything is agreed between Inter, Carboni and his representatives, and the Brianzoli.

Carboni will make the switch official very soon. Di Marzio reports that the 18-year-old will undergo medicals ahead of the move tomorrow.

The loan deal will just be a season-long dry loan. The Brianzoli will not have a purchase option.

Carboni will join a Monza team who overachieved last season on their first ever in Serie A. The Lombard side achieved an impressive midtable finish under coach Raffaele Palladino.

Inter have evidently decided that this will be the ideal environment for Carboni to grow with more playing time.
