Inter Milan are ready to move swiftly to sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin and Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer to replace Man United-bound Andre Onana.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews, who reported live on air that the Nerazzurri have a plan to sign both of the pair.
Di Marzio reports that Onana is, for all intents and purposes, now a United player.
The Nerazzurri and the Red Devils have come to a full agreement on a sale of the Cameroonian. Therefore, it will only be a matter of days before he makes the switch.
As such, Inter are not waiting around as far as the succession plan. They have to replace not just Onana, but also departed captain Samir Handanovic.
And Di Marzio reports that Inter have a clear plan to replace both. He expects the Nerazzurri to go after Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin and Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer immediately.
Inter Ready To Move For Both Trubin & Sommer As Onana Replacements
As far as Shakhtar keeper Trubin, Inter will offer €10 million plus add-ons.
On the player’s side, the Nerazzurri have already convinced the 21-year-old Ukrainian international. He has reached an agreement and is ready to sign a five-year deal.
Now, however, will come the matter of convincing Trubin’s club.
Shakhtar have so far held out for a high asking price despite the fact that Trubin’s contract runs out at the end of next June.
Di Marzio, in any event, expects Inter to push hard to sign the Ukrainian now that they are selling Onana.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri will also move for Bayern keeper Sommer imminently.
Di Marzio reports that the Swiss international has a release clause of €6 million.
He anticipates that Inter will try and negotiate a different fee and payment structure with the German champions.
However, if they are unable to do so, the Nerazzurri will simply pay the release clause to get the deal done.
