Spezia striker Mbala N’Zola is one of Inter Milan’s targets as they draw up their shortlist of possible striker targets with Lukaku talks done.
This according to Sky Sport Italia reporter Matteo Barzaghi. He named the 26-year-old as a possible target along with Folarin Balogun, Mehdi Taremi, and Alvaro Morata.
After a sensational turn of events in the past few days, it now looks very unlikely that Inter will move for Lukaku.
The Nerazzurri have informed the player directly that they don’t have any intention of signing him. This comes after the Nerazzurri discovered the extent of the Belgian’s negotiations with Juventus.
Therefore, unless things change quickly, Inter will not sign Lukaku.
What this means is that the Nerazzurri will have to sign a different striker.
The Nerazzurri have Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram as attacking options for next season. Then, there’s Joaquin Correa, whose future at the club is very much in the balance.
Considering Inter will want to head into next season with four options in attack, they must sign a striker. And their plan is to move for a player with roughly similar characteristics to Lukaku.
Spezia Striker N’zola Joins Inter Milan List Of Targets As Lukaku Talks Crumble
Spezia striker N’zola is one striker who should certainly be on the market this summer.
The Angolan international will hardly be keen to stay at Spezia after the Ligurians suffered relegation to Serie B.
Therefore, Inter could make a move for him. N’Zola showed last season that he is more than capable of leading the line, scoring goals, and holding play at the Serie A level despite his team’s relegation.
Meanwhile, Barzaghi reports that Inter’s top target is Arsenal and USA star Folarin Balogun.
And, in terms of more experienced options the Nerazzurri have Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Porto’s Mehdi Taremi on their list.;
