Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma, and AC Milan all want to sign Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
This according to Spanish news outlet Relevo, via FCInterNews, who report that the Colchoneros aim to sell the Spaniard for a fee of around €20 million, whilst clubs from the Saudi Pro League are also interested in his signature.
Morata is certainly a player with proven Serie A experience.
The former Real Madrid and Chelsea striker has spent a total of four seasons playing with Juventus. This included a campaign in which he helped the Bianconeri reach the Champions League final.
Relevo report that Juventus are among the Italian teams considering a move for Morata. However, they are far from alone.
Inter are looking for a striker target now that Romelu Lukaku is off the table. Meanwhile, their city rivals AC Milan have yet to sign a striker following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And, Relevo confirm, Roma have approached Atletico about signing Morata.
Inter, Juventus, Roma & AC Milan Want Alvaro Morata
According to Relevo, the Giallorossi are already making their move. However, the Spanish outlet expects, they could face a significant obstacle in bringing the Spaniard to the Italian capital in the form of his price tag.
Despite reports that Morata’s release clause could drop to €12 million with a new contract, Relevo report that Atletico want to cash in for more than that.
They suggest that the Colchoneros would want a fee of at least €20 million for Morata.
Therefore, there could well be a bidding war for the Spanish international from Serie A’s heavy hitters.
Or, alternatively, clubs from Saudi Arabia could come in with an interest.
Teams from the Saudi Pro League have so far had a summer of lavish spending on big name players from European football. Morata could be the league’s next big acquisition.
