Al-Shabaab are the Saudi Pro League club in talks with out-of-favour Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old would consider a huge financial offer but that a move to Saudi Arabia would be far from his priority for next season.

Correa is a future whose future currently looks up in the air.

The Argentine has never really met expectations after making a big money move from Lazio in the summer of 2021.

Therefore, Inter would certainly listen to offers for Correa. However, so far relatively little has come forward.

So far this summer Fenerbahce have shown an interest in signing Correa. However, the player has rejected the possibility.

Meanwhile, Premier League duo West Ham United and Everton are reportedly in with a tentative interest.

And, according to FCIN, there is some tentative interest from Serie A as well.

They report that Torino have expressed interest – the Granata will have to replace Aleksei Miranchuk and in all likelihood Nikola Vlasic next season.

Meanwhile, Monza have showed an interest. The Nerazzurri could consider offering Correa on loan as part of a deal for Brianzoli wingback Carlos Augusto.

Salernitana could also put in an ambitious bid for Correa. And newly-promoted sides Genoa and Cagliari made their interest known.

However, in all of these cases, the interest was registered in June. As of now, it does not look as though there are serious offers on the table.

Al-Shabaab Hoping To Tempt Inter Milan Outcast Joaquin Correa

One team who want to try and convince Correa to leave Inter this summer are Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabaab.

There have been reports of interest in the ex-Sampdoria and Sevilla man coming from the free-spending Saudi league for some time. And, recently, it has looked as though the player might open up to the possibility.

According to FCIN, however, Correa would only move to Saudi Arabia for a truly mammoth offer.

If Al-Shabaab or another team offered a three-year deal worth a total of €30 million net, the player might find it hard to turn that down.

However, Correa is still reluctant to give up on his European career. Moreover, having just gotten married, the 28-year-old is reluctant to uproot his life this summer.

Therefore, only massive money would actually convince Correa, FCIN suggests.

A move within Serie A could certainly be on the cards. But only if a real offer arrives, and the player is happy with it.

As such, FCIN reports, a stay at Inter looks as probable as anything for Correa. He could well have a good preseason and regain some of the faith of coach Simone Inzaghi.

And in any event, if Correa were to head for the exit door, Inter would have to find a replacement. Doing so for a low fee and with lower wages than Correa, whilst also finding an equally useful player, would be no walk in the park.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are in no rush to push the ex-Lazio star out the exit door. Their priority is signing a striker in place of Romelu Lukaku, anyway, among other tasks in a busy summer.
