Inter Milan have made an offer of €15 million to Atletico Madrid to sign striker Alvaro Morata.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have tabled a formal bid for the 30-year-old, who is also a target for Roma and Juventus, but that Atletico are still holding out for €20 million to sell him.

Morata’s experience in Serie A makes the 30-year-old an attractive target for several big clubs in Italy.

Inter are among the teams tracking the Atletico striker.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly an admirer, and has made the Spaniard the first choice in attack. This comes after Inter abruptly pulled the plug on talks to sign Romelu Lukaku.

That leaves the Nerazzurri scrambling to come up with alternative targets.

Should they prioritize a signing in the same age bracket as Lukaku and with similar experience, the Spanish former Juventus, Real Madrid, and Chelsea man would certainly make sense as a target.

And according to SportItalia, Inter have officially joined the race for the Spanird.

Inter Milan Bid €15M For Morata – Atletico Want €20M

The Nerazzurri aren’t just showing an interest – they’ve already made their first offer.

Inter have put €15 million on the plate to try and convince Atletico to do the deal.

However, SportItalia report, the Cochoneros are ready to demand €20 million to sell Morata. This is around the figure that reports have suggested is the Spaniard’s release clause.

And, despite reports that Morata could sign a new deal that would see that clause drop to €12 million, SportItalia report that Atletico intend to wait for a bid at that fee to arrive.

Meanwhile, Roma have also been pushing to sign Morata. The Giallorossi have already spoken with Atletico and met with Morata’s representatives.

However, the club from the capital club could be reluctant to meet Atletico’s asking price.

As for Juventus, the Bianconeri have Morata on their radar. They have already had Morata in two separate spells, and could bring him back for a third.
