Inter Milan will meet with the agents of Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata today.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the purpose of the meeting will mainly be to see whether all parties are on the same page regarding a potential transfer for the Spanish international this summer.

Morata’s experience in Serie A makes the 30-year-old an attractive target for several big clubs in Italy.

Inter are among the teams tracking the Atletico striker.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly an admirer, and has made the Spaniard the first choice in attack. This comes after Inter abruptly pulled the plug on talks to sign Romelu Lukaku.

Roma are also interested in bringing Morata back to Serie A. The Giallorossi have already met with the Spanish international’s agents yesterday.

Now it is Inter’s turn to hold talks with Morata’s representatives.

Inter Milan To Hold Talks With Morata’s Agent Today – Talks With Atletico To Follow

According to Sky, today’s meeting will be to sound out Morata, rather than Atletico.

Inter want to get a sense of whether or not the Spaniard would be interested in making the move next season.

They are very interested in signing the 30-year-old. However, the Nerazzurri want to make sure that the player is also on the same page before they make a move.

After that, Sky reports, Inter can then proceed to talks with Atletico.

The Colchoneros could be ready to sell Morata, although there are some conflicting reports regarding the price tag.

Morata’s contract reportedly contains a release clause worth €21 million. Inter, however, do not want to pay that much for the striker.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri will see if they can negotiate a discount for the striker from the Spanish giants.
