Inter Milan have identified Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun as the primary target to bolster the club’s frontline.

The Nerazzurri have bid Edin Dzeko farewell following the expiry of his contract. The Bosnian then joined Fenerbahce as a free agent.

On the other hand, Romelu Lukaku’s controversial behavior saw the Nerazzurri cut all ties with the Belgian striker who was apparently flirting with Juventus.

The Italian giants have secured the services of Marcus Thuram on a free transfer but still need an additional profile for the attacking department.

According to Sportitalia via FcInterNews, Balogun is now on top of Inter’s shortlist of strikers.

The USMNT star managed to shine during last season’s loan spell at Stade Reims, attracting interest from several suitors around Europe.

Arsenal are open for a sale but will be looking to collect a figure that exceeds 40 million euros.

Nonetheless, the Nerazzurri will be hoping to lower the whole operation to 40 million (including bonuses). This is the figure that the club had allocated for Lukaku’s botched transfer.

The source adds that the American striker is eager to don the famous Black-and-Blue jersey.

However, Balogun isn’t the only profile on the club’s radar. In fact, Inter have put together a four-man shortlist.

In addition to the Arsenal striker, the Nerazzurri are keeping tabs on three other profiles to enhance the frontline.

These are Udinese star Beto, Atletico Madrid veteran Alvaro Morata and West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca.
