From Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer to ex-Man United star David De Geat, Inter Milan have several goalkeepers on their shortlist for next season.

Italian news outlet FCInter1908 take note of six in particular as they overview what kind of shape the Nerazzurri’s “goalkeeping revolution” could take next season.

Inter have already sold Andre Onana to Manchester United. Moreover, captain Samir Handanovic has also headed for the exit door, leaving at the end of his contract.

Therefore, Inter will have two major goalkeeper signings to make before the summer transfer window is through.

The Nerazzurri’s plan is to sign one experienced keeper, and one younger prospect with room to grow. But as for the precise identities of the two goalkeepers who will arrive, much is still to be decided.

Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer Inter’s Top Target

It is little secret that experienced Bayern Muncih keeper Yann Sommer is the player Inter have decided on to replace Onana in the short term.

Talks between the Nerazzurri and Bayern have been ongoing for the 34-year-old.

However, the two clubs must still find an agreement on a fee for Sommer.

The Swiss international has a release clause of around €6 million. Inter are hoping not to pay the full amount, whilst the German champions have yet to soften on a lower fee.

Meanwhile, Sommer himself would be happy to make the switch.

Much also depends, however, on the future of Bayern captain Manuel Neuer. If the 37-year-old ends up suffering from longer-term injury problems than expected, then Sommer may still have a role to play in Bavaria.

Two Premier League Veterans Also On Inter’s Radar

Meanwhile, in terms of experienced options, Inter are also considering two players from the Premier League.

One would be the man who the Nerazzurri sold Onana to United to in order to replace – Spanish international and former Atletico Madrid keeper David De Gea.

The 32-year-old has left Old Trafford at the end of his contract.

And the Nerazzurri are seriously considering making a move.,

The other would be Tottenham Hotspur and France captain Hugo Lloris.

The 36-year-old has little place at Spurs after the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli. Inter could still bring him on for a late chapter in his career.

Ex-Real Madrid Star Also A Possibility

Then, there is Keylor Navas.

The 36-year-old Costa Rica international spent last season on loan from Paris Saint-Germain at Nottingham Forest.

Navas played a key role in keeping Forest in the Premier League.

Now, however, the Costa Rican is back in the French capital. And given that he has little place in PSG’s project, Inter could capitalize by signing the multiple Champions League winner.

Inter Could Consider A Move For Relegated Serie A Star

Sampdoria keeper Emil Audero is another player who Inter have been tracking for this summer.

The 26-year-old is likely to leave the Blucerchiati this summer after the Ligurians dropped down to Serie B last season.

Sampdoria’s relegation was hardly the fault of Audero, however.

The Italian has been one of the more impressive players in his position in Serie A over the past few seasons. And reports have persistently linked him with a move to Inter.

Shakhtar Donetsk & Ukraine Star Still The “Dream” For Inter

At the top of Inter’s list in terms of younger keepers with room to grow is Shakhtar Donetsk star Anatoliy Trubin.

The 21-year-old Ukrainian international’s contract with Shakhtar runs out at the end of next June.

Inter have been hoping to leverage that fact into a lower fee for the young goalkeeper.

So far, Shakhtar have still held out for a much higher fee than the Nerazzurri are willing to pay.

However, Inter are still holding out hope. Trubin is the “dream” for them,  and they are going to keep trying to sign the Ukrainian until the end of the summer transfer window.
