Revealed – Why Inter Milan Have Chosen Rozzano Area For New Stadium

Inter Milan have settled on the Rozzano area as the location to build their new stadium due to the lack of bureaucratic obstacles.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper note that the Nerazzurri have obtained the right to conduct a feasibility study in the area.

Inter finally look ready to abandon plans to build a new stadium in place of the San Siro.

Whilst the Nerazzurri and their city rivals AC Milan have been pursuing plans to replace the existing stadium for several years, those plans are now hanging on by a thread.

A possible injunction against tearing down the San Siro would be the final nail in the coffin of their plans.

And for their part, the Rossoneri have already all but given up. By all accounts, their focus has shifted entirely towards building a new stadium in a different area.

And according to the Gazzetta, so has Inter’s.

Inter Milan Receive Approval On Feasibility Study In Rozzano

According to the Gazzetta, yesterday Inter officially obtained the documents giving them the right to conduct a feasibility study in the Rozzano area adjacent to the city of Milan.

This right will last until the end of April of next years.

That certainly gives Inter plenty of time to move forward in the area and assess their options.

And, according to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri plan to do exactly that.

The club see Rozzano as an option where red tape will not hold up their plans.

Inter, as Milan have already done, have taken the stance that building a new stadium is too important for their infrastructure and revenues to wait any longer on what increasingly looks like a doomed endeavour building in place of the San Siro.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are taking concrete steps already.

The coming months should see the club begin a feasibility study in Rozzano. And with the cooperation of the area’s municipal government, they can move ahead at pace.
