Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer is remaining tight-lipped regarding reports that he could make the move to Inter Milan.

Speaking to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 34-year-old didn’t give too many hints about his future despite widespread reports of negotiations between Bayern and Inter for a move.

Inter have now been hovering over Sommer for a number of days without making a decisive move to sign the 34-year-old.

The Nerazzurri have wanted to wrap up a deal for Sommer quickly after selling Andre Onana to Manchester United.

The fact that Inter captain Samir Handanovic has also left the club means that the Nerazzurri are currently without a starting-quality senior goalkeeper in their squad.

Inter have failed in their objective of signing Sommer before their preseason tour of Japan. They are currently in the country, but have not yet signed the Swiss.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri have been relying on young options like Filip Stankovic in Japan.

Reports have suggested that the negotiations for Sommer’s transfer between Inter and Bayern are in a very advanced stage.

But as of yet, the Swiss is still a Bayern player.

Yann Sommer Tigh-Lipped Regarding Transfer Links To Inter Milan

All reports have suggested that Sommer wants the move to Inter.

The Swiss has even reportedly been annoyed that things are taking as long as they have been.

Despite the Nerazzurri trying to wrap up the deal for Sommer as soon as possible, Bayern have been reluctant.

This has been due to the German champions’ aim to keep hold of the keeper until they sign a replacement, as captain Manuel Neuer’s injury means that he is currently the only fit starting-quality keeper in their squad.

Sommer said of the links that “I don’t want to say anything about it.”

“But it was already reported on a few days ago. But we’ll see how it goes,” he added.
