Inter Milan and Udinese will hold talks to wrap up the final details on the transfer of midfielder Lazar Samardzic by this Thursday.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews.

In the past couple of days, Inter have gotten to within touching distance of signing Samardzic.

The Nerazzurri and the Friulani have more or less agreed on the terms of a deal for the former RB Leipzig midfielder.

Reports have suggested that the total value of the deal will be around €25 million. That will include both a cash fee, and also young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian going the other way.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri value Fabbian at around €10 million. They will insist on having a buyback option on the 20-year-old of some nature.

All of that has been, more or less, fully worked out between the clubs already.

Moreover, Samardzic is also reportedly ready to make the move to Inter on a five-year deal. And Fabbian’s agent has made clear that he is not turning down the move the other way.

According to SportItalia, however, the details are not quite all defined.

Inter Milan & Udinese To Hold Final Samardzic Talks This Week

SportItalia report that the Nerazzurri and the Friulani will meet once more to discuss the transfer of Samardzic.

However, the purpose of the meeting will be nothing more than wrapping up the deal.

By all accounts, the clubs have already agreed on the transfer.

Matters like the valuation of Fabbian within the structure of the deal, and the exact formula for a buyback option on the young midfielder could be among the matters that the clubs discuss.

In any event, SportItalia report that the meeting will be this week.

The clubs will wrap up the deal by Thursday at the latest, the broadcaster anticipate.

In the meantime, Inter’s squad will be returning from their preseason tour of Japan this week as well.

It’s not improbable that Samardzic will be joining up with his new Nerazzurri teammates soon as well.
