Monaco are the only club to have made a formal offer to Arsenal for Folarin Balogun despite interest from Inter Milan.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews.

Balogun has become a hot name on the transfer market, with Inter in particular reportedly keen on his signature.

After the Nerazzurri’s pursuit of Gianluca Scamacca fell through, reports suggest that the 22-year-old has become their top target in attack.

Furthermore, widespread reports have indicated that Inter have been intensifying their talks with Arsenal for his signature.

There have already been some exploratory talks between the Nerazzuri and the Gunners. But the coming days should likely see a formal offer from Inter to test the Premier League runners’-up resolve.

But such an offer has not arrived yet, Di Marzio reports.

Di Marzio: Monaco Only Club To Have Made Arsenal Offer For Balogun

According to Di Marzio, only one club so far have made Arsenal an offer for Balogun – Monaco.

Reports from English media earlier today suggest that the Ligue 1 club see the US international as injury backup for Breel Embolo, who will miss a significant chunk of next season through injury.

Monaco will have gotten a first-hand look at Balogun during his loan with Reims last season.

The Monagasques are convinced by the American. And according to Di Marzio, they have tabled a formal offer for him.

He reveals that Monaco have bid €30 million. However, Arsenal have rejected this as being too low.

Meanwhile, other reports have suggested that another Ligue 1 club have an interest in signing Balogun.

Champions League new boys Lens reportedly see the 22-year-old as a prospective replacement for Lois Openda.

However, they have not made a formal offer to Arsenal as their French rivals have, reports Di Marzio. Only Monaco have.
