Union Berlin have reportedly revived their pursuit of Inter Milan wingback Robin Gosens.

The 29-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in January 2022 following an impressive stint at Atalanta.

However, the German hasn’t been able to replicate his Bergamo exploits at the Giuseppe Meazza.

The wingback dealt with recurring injury problems which took its toll on his performances. Last season, he served as an understudy for the soaring Federico Dimarco.

Earlier this summer, Union Berlin made some attempts to sign the German international player.

The Bundesliga side reached the Champions League group stage for the first time in its history for the first time in its history.

They identified Gosens as one of the profiles who can bolster their ranks ahead of a challenging campaign. But their previous attempts were to no avail.

Since then, the situation has gone noticeably quiet on the Gosens front.

But according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio via FcInterNews, Union Berlin have re-emerged to the scene, looking to sign the left-back on a permanent basis.

This would be a perfect solution for the Nerazzurri as it would allow them to pursue Carlos Augusto.

The Monza wingback was one of the biggest revelations of the previous Serie A campaign. He proved to be a menace for opponents on the left flank.

The 24-year-old Italo-Brazilian is the preferred target for Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio as the source tells it.
