Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic has one more day to get his move to Inter Milan back on track.

This according to today’s print edition of Udine-based newspaper Messaggero Vento, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri have given the 21-year-old until the end of today to make a decision on whether or not to accept their offer.

By now, the reason that Samardzic’s move to Inter looks on the verge of collapsing are well-known.

Messaggero Veneto gives a version of the events that have led to talks between Inter and the midfielder’s entourage freezing.

According to the newspaper, Samardzic’s representatives gave prominent football agent Rafael Pimenta power of attorney to represent the German-born Serbian international in talks with Inter.

Via Pimenta’s mediation, Inter agreed a deal with Samardzic.

Part of this agreement included the agent commissions. These were to be split between Pimenta and Samardzic’s entourage, including his father.

However, the newspaper reports, Samardzic’s entourage then asked Inter for the full amount of the commissions.

The Nerazzurri have zero intention of acquiescing to these demands, so the situation is at an impasse.

Inter Milan Give Lazar Samardzic One More Day

Now, Samardzic is back in Udine.

The ex-RB Leipzig midfielder had already completed his medicals on a move to Inter last week.

But with the talks now frozen, there looks to be little point in the player staying in Milano any longer.

Samardzic’s transfer is not yet entirely dead in the water. But Inter have made their stance to the player clear – he must either sign the deal that had been agreed via Pimenta, including the agent commissions it provided for, or else the move is off.

And the Nerazzurri have given Samardzic a specific deadline, reports Messaggero Veneto.

This is the last day that the transfer can go through.

Inter expect the final answer by the end of the day.

Either Samardzic accepts their deal, and then completes the move. Or else, he says no, and the transfer falls through for good.
