Defender Benjamin Pavard will sign a five-year contract with Inter Milan worth around €4 million net per season.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.

Inter are closing in on the signing of Pavard.

The 27-year-old is the player who the Nerazzurri have identified to replace Milan Skriniar in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

Inter have been pushing in talks through the past few days.

They have continued to push their offer up, and hoped that the player’s insistence would make the difference.

And now, it’s a done deal. Inter and Bayern have reached a full agreement on a deal for Pavard.

Benjamin Pavard Close To Signing Five-Year Contract With Inter Milan

According to Mediaset, Pavard has fully agreed terms with Inter on a five-year deal. This will run until the end of June 2028.

This will see the former Stuttgart defender earn a total of around €4 million net per season at the Nerazzurri.

All that’s left now is for Pavard to complete his medicals and sign his contract with Inter.

Manchester United have also made an attempt to sign Pavard late in the transfer window. However, it is the Nerazzurri who have found an agreement with Bayern on a deal.

Pavard joined Bayern in the summer of 2019 from Stuttgart.

Since his arrival, the Frenchman has made a total of 163 appearances for the German champions. He has scored twelve goals in the process.

Meanwhile, Pavard has made 49 appearances for the French national team. He made his debut for Les Bleus in 2017, and was a regular starter as they won the 2018 World Cup.

Pavard was also part of France’s squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. However, he did not start in the final against Argentina.
