Marseille have made Inter Milan an initial offer to sign out-of-favour forward on loan with a purchase option.
This according to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, who report that the Ligue 1 side have put forward a loan offer containing a purchase option worth €15 million.
Marseille are among the clubs to have come forward with an interest in signing Correa.
With a week to go before the summer transfer window shuts, the interest is finally starting to come in.
And whilst Marseille initially contacted Correa’s agent rather than Inter, now DAZN reports that they have also tabled a formal bid with the Nerazzurri.
They have offered an initial loan deal. Then, next summer there would be a non-obligatory purchase option worth €15 million.
According to DAZN, Inter are receptive to the French club’s offer.
Marseille Make Inter Offer For Joaquin Correa As Interest Starts To Come In
There have been a few clubs to show interest in Correa in recent days.
This has come after Inter changed their stance on the player – they will listen to loan offers for the Argentine international.
And this has seemingly opened the floodgates. If few teams showed any interest in signing Correa on a permanent transfer, the prospect of getting him on loan evidently has more appeal.
A number of teams have come forward with interest in Correa over the past few days.
These have included Torino, Real Betis, and Bournemouth.
RB Leipzig have also inquired regarding the possibility of signing the 29-year-old. And Lille have also reportedly made contact with Correa’s agent Alessandro Lucci.
There had been some rumours of Saudi Pro League interest earlier in the summer.
But now, it looks as though the 29-year-old former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria man could get a move within Europe.
And Marseille are now stepping up their interest to try and beat the competition.
