For the second time in a week, Inter Milan transfer target Benjamin Pavard skips a Bayern Munich training session.

This rapidly developing transfer saga has been taking various twists and turns over the last few days.

Despite making vast progress in the negotiations with the player and the club, the Nerazzurri still can’t put the deal over the line.

That’s because Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel is refusing to let the defender leave before the arrival of a competent replacement.

The former Chelsea boss even confirmed the situation in his press conference on Friday. While he revealed that Pavard had indeed made a transfer request, he considered it too late.

Moreover, the German tactician said he still intends to rely on the Frenchman’s services this season.

Yet, the 27-year-old was nowhere to be seen in Friday’s training session, reports Bild journalist Nico Linner via FcInter1908.

Inter Milan Primary Target Benjamin Pavard Didn’t Take The Field In Friday’s Bayern Munich Training Session

This is the second time Pavard has missed training this week. On Wednesday, the French international was absent while Bayern tried to justify it in their official statement, claiming the player was ill.

Naturally, many fans and observers doubted the story, believing the player was instead holding a protest in an attempt to push his transfer to Inter.

Nevertheless, Pavard attended training on Thursday, even though he’s still holding out for a move to Appiano Gentile.

So we shall how this latest development will impact the whole transfer saga that is turning into a true tug-of-war.
