Inter Milan will wrap up their summer transfer window with the signing of Benjamin Pavard – unless there are any late surprises.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have no more signings planned on the horizon, unless they make any last-minute decisions.

Inter have already made a whopping ten signings this summer. And they are not far away from making it eleven.

The Nerazzurri should seal the deal for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

Inter have, in some respects, started from the beginning.

Pavard arrives to fulfill one of the first tasks that Inter set for themselves during the entire window – sign a defender to be a replacement for Milan Skriniar.

The Nerazzurri have flirted with a number of possible candidates to take the place of the Slovakian.

And in the meantime, Inter have also made plenty of signings, reinforcing and replacing in every single area of the pitch.

But the long and winding road has seemingly led back to Pavard – eight months after Inter’s interest in the Frenchman began.

Inter Milan Will Wrap Up Transfer Window With Pavard – Unless There’s A Surprise

With all of this activity, there would not appear to be a need for any more signings.

Inter have a squad with starting-quality and backup-quality players in every position. Numerically and in terms of both profile and talent, Pavard would seem to complete the job.

However, Mediaset note, there could always be a surprise.

The last couple days of the transfer windows are always a frenetic period, full of surprises – and opportunities.

And under the direction of Beppe Marotta, the Nerazzurri have tended to hunt for opportunities.

The area where Inter might conceivably make a further addition to sign off for the summer would be midfield.

Stefano Sensi has returned to the squad to replace Roberto Gagliardini. But according to Mediaset, there’s still a slim chance that the Nerazzurri could dip into the market one more time.
